Day 1:
Our travels begin to the Nation’s Capital arriving late afternoon at our hotel for 3 nights, The Hilton Garden Old Towne Alexandria. Its central location is just a 5-minute walk to the popular King Street of Old Towne. This evening is free to enjoy one of the area restaurants or the hotel’s restaurant located in the rooftop terrace.
Day 2:
Full day tour of Washington, D.C. After breakfast we set out for a full day of touring with our local tour guide. We will see popular D.C. landmarks such as the Capitol Building, the Korean and Vietnam Veterans Memorials, the World War II Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Embassy Row, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, White House photo stop (as security allows) and more. Later there will be time to enjoy the waterfront National Harbor with many dining options available. (Breakfast included)
Day 3:
Arlington National Cemetery – Smithsonian Institute After breakfast we set out for Arlington National Cemetery. A narrated tram tour will be included with stops at the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Kennedy gravesites.
This afternoon we arrive at the world-renowned Smithsonian Institute to explore some of its unique museum collections.
A fabulous Italian dinner awaits us at the famous Carmine’s Restaurant in downtown D.C. this evening.

Day 4:
Steven F. Udvar-Hazy National Air & Space Museum - Home Following breakfast we head to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy National Air & Space Museum. Hundreds of historically significant air and spacecraft, along with thousands of small artifacts, are on display in an open, hangar-like setting. After time for lunch, we head home to Connecticut with amazing memories of our Washington D.C. adventure. (Breakfast included)
