Stowe, Vermont: Austrian Inspired Von Trapp Lodge

Day 1: Connecticut-Vermont Country Store

Your summer getaway will be a truly memorable experience! We'll make our way to Stowe with a stop at the Vermont Country Store where Vermont goods, gifts, foods and clothing abound. Mid-afternoon we arrive at the world-renowned Trapp Family Lodge for our two-night stay. We will enjoy a special history tour of the Von Trapp family. This tour will give insightful information about the family, how they escaped Austria, and their early years in America. Included in our tour will be a viewing of the documentary film " The Real Maria". This film shows Maria's final trip to Salzburg, Austria.

Your stay will include full use of the resort facilities including hiking trails, pools, fitness center, afternoon tea and nightly feature film.

Dinner will be included this evening at the Von Trapp Brewing Bierhall Restaurant known for its cuisine and classic beers. (Dinner Included)

Day 2: Stowe Touring

Following breakfast, we will meet our local guide for a tour of Stowe. Afterwards, there will be time for lunch in this charming village. We'll then head to Ben & Jerry's where we will have a guided tour of the factory and learn the history of this delicious treat that has become world famous. Returning to the resort, we can enjoy afternoon tea and the resort’s amenities prior to our dinner at the hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner included)

Day 3: Von Trapp Lodge – Home

After a leisurely breakfast we depart for the Morse Maple Farm, owned by the Morse Family for over 200 years. In their real woodshed theater, you will hear their history of maple syrup making and enjoy samples. There will be time to purchase goods in their country store.

We continue home with fond memories of our incredible getaway to Stowe, Vermont. (Breakfast included)
