Day 1: Connecticut to Heritage Plantation & Gardens

We begin our Cape Cod adventure with a visit to Heritage Plantation and Gardens in the historic town of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Amid over 100 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, you’ll be able to enjoy the Antique Automobile Exhibit, stroll to the many museums with special exhibits of artifacts and priceless artwork, or take a ride on the 1908 Looff Carousel.

Midafternoon we arrive at our hotel, the Holiday Inn Hyannis centrally located to Hyannis’ popular attractions. Their amenities include a heated indoor pool, whirlpool, outdoor pool and fitness center. A delicious buffet dinner is included.

Day 2: Martha’s Vineyard or Art’s Dune Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to your choice of adventure:

•• Martha’s Vineyard: A high speed ferry ride transports you to beautiful Martha’s Vineyard. Known for visits by presidents and royalty, this summer home of many artists, writers and celebrities is full of surprises. You’ll see all the highlights of "the Vineyard", including quaint gingerbread-styled cottages and a once-famous whaling port resplendent with sea captains’ homes and widows’ walks. Includes a guided bus tour of the island.

•• Art’s Dune Tours in Provincetown. Our local guide will join those wishing to stay on the mainland for a day of touring. We travel on picturesque Route 6A where farms and beautiful historic homes of the 1700’s dot the roadway learning about Cape Cod’s history along the way.

We arrive at Art’s Sand Dunes for a one-of-a-kind tour of the protected sand dunes in the Cape Cod National Seashore National Park. Our knowledgeable guide will share the history and ecology of these beautiful dunes that have inspired writers and artists for years. There will be time afterwards to enjoy Provincetown with its many shops and restaurants.

This evening you may choose to explore Main Street in downtown Hyannis have dinner and drinks in the hotel’s Mad Hatter Lounge or walk to a nearby restaurant. (Breakfast included)

Day 3: Cape Cod Harbor Cruise

After breakfast we board our sightseeing boat for the Cape Cod Harbor cruise, the best way to see the memorable sights and beauty of Hyannis. Relax and enjoy the views as your guide explains the various points of interest you see along the way.

Highlights will include Great Island, the Kennedy Memorial, St. Andrews by the Sea, Squaw Island, Point Gammon Light and the historic Kennedy Compound in Hyannisport. After time for lunch in downtown Hyannis, we reboard our coach with fond memories of our exciting coastal adventure to Cape Cod. (Breakfast included)
