1000 Islands

Day 1: Connecticut to 1000 Islands, Bonnie Castle Resort:

Our travels take us upstate New York to picturesque Alexandria Bay and our home for two nights, the Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina. This evening a delicious dinner awaits us at the hotel’s Manor House Restaurant facing Boldt Castle.

This evening relax by the pool, sip a cocktail on the expansive deck overlooking the majestic St. Lawrence River, enjoy unparalleled views of Boldt Castle and take in the beauty of the 1000 Islands region. (Dinner included)

Day 2: Boldt Castle, Two Nation Cruise

Following breakfast, we board our international 22-mile round trip cruise through American and Canadian waters considered the heart of the 1000 Islands. During our cruise we visit the 129 room Rhineland Boldt Castle on Heart Island. This impressive castle-home was built in the early 1900’s by George Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world-famous Waldorf Astoria.

After our cruise, experience downtown Alexandria Bay for lunch and shopping before returning to our hotel property. Tonight, dinner will be included in the hotel’s beautiful Manor House Restaurant overlooking the St. Lawrence River.

Day 3: Antique Boat Museum

After breakfast, we head to one of Clayton's most popular tourist spots, the Antique Boat Museum. This is North America's premier freshwater boating museum featuring over 300 beautifully restored boats with remarkable history and incredible craftsmanship.

We will also experience a 30-minute tour of the 106’ houseboat La Duchesse, bringing to life 100 years of gracious river lifestyle. See her luxurious interior and original furnishings while hearing the story of this unique summer home of George Boldt. After lunch, we travel home with wonderful memories of our 1000 Islands Adventure. (Breakfast included)

Cromwell: Commuter Lot Exit 21 off I-91 Departure: 8:00am
